Twin Lakes Ice

Was out at Twin today bike riding and not fishing.  There were a few guys ice fishing on the lower lake.  The only safe ice was down at the far end of the lake near the peninsula/marsh area.  Everything along the boathouse wall side was way too thin to venture out on, there is still some open water near the boathouse.  The ice at the upper lake was very thin, there was some decent ice at the shallow end of the lake however.  If you go out be very careful!

Stopped by the upper lake today after work.  Drilled 3 holes, one about 25 ft from shore, one about 50ft and the other maybe 75ft or so from shore.  There was a consistent 4" of good solid ice at each hole.  If you want to get out on the ice you better get out while you can, the forecast after thursday doesn't look good for the ice.
