Report

Started at the compactor below the 2a bridge. Sparse action and lots of people. At 10 we moved upstream to a location. Slammed em' landed 4 kings and one coho. These fish are brutal to get in. I bent a few hooks today. At the Swedish fish station there was a 36 pounder. we had 2 over 30. amazing the size this year.

    Thanks for the report..
Glad you had a good time and Suicide trip ? Leaves ? Any cool pic's you can share ? How long you think the salmon will last ?
Questions I know but an inquiring mind needs to learn..
It's about 3.5 hrs for me as well.. Either your close or very far away...lol
Those salmon were brutes on my trip as well.. I landed ZERO, had a few to the rocks with head up and my hooks popped.. Gotta be my first year with a skunk but it was a good one..
Right now I have some camping going on this weekend and hoping to put fresh meat on the cutting table.. Antlers not needed..Good times will be had..

Having serious thoughts of going fishing for a few days next week, fri & sat.. If conditions don't sound favorable then I will wait another week, thurs-fri..
My deal at this point would be trout, leaves and crowds.. All 3 I can deal with but Id prefer to hunt trout rather then catch salmon so hearing that the salmon are :
    1. redding heavy
    2. swimming in zombie land close to shore
    3. getting taken to the cleaners
would be great news to me..

    Thanks :)

Tuna I saw kings on stringers being dragged across tall bridge last night that were bright... I'd venture to say trout would be a lower river game at this point if that's what you ONLY wanted to catch. But I did see multiple hookups going on yesterday and today around town. Have heard a rumor that more are still in the lake

HT  I saw both 1 and 2 in good #'s way up last weekend.   Going tomorrow, but still probably gonna have to fight the crowds.   Have a few spots to  try and target some trout.

HT I only saw one that was looking zombieish. The 4 guys above me were fishing for trout. Real nice fellas. from seven to ten they had on one steel and one brown. all the fish I saw coming out looked healthy. when we went to the Swedish fish skinner guy he had a 36 pounder on the scale. The eggs still looked pretty tight in the females. mine was the only coho of the day at his place.  did see a few redding. but the water was murkey.

There were hens on there sides on gravel patchs as smaller as acouch cushion below town last Tues.
They are about ready to start down the backside of spawn and die mountain.
Bows be there this week in numbers if the weather stays cool.
And they will rip it up when hooked.
