french creek walleye this time of the year

anyone still target eye's on french creek this time of the year? not looking for any spots, just some info if they still hit and whats your bait of choice. thanks much!

    I would advise that the fishing probably is and will only get better as we get deeper into the Fall.
    We were actually thinking of floating the creek this Sat. I just checked the guage hights for Meadville and Utica and both were under 2 ft. Would this be a problem with low flow or would it still be floatable? Thanks

    In the area I fish, Utica & below, the walleye are hitting but the weeds/grass is a pita!
     
    The water level right now is fine for floating.

    Thanks for the info 99. We were thinking farther up stream maybe Saegertown to Shaws or maybe even farther up than that. Any reports on the bite would be helpful. Thanks

    Have a friend in Franklin that kills them this time of year with hellgrammites. and spots be ****ed...he does it at the confluence of French and Allegheny.
