9/29/13 Got the pic
It was a pretty eventful day even if the fishing was less than optimal. Got up to the LFZ with my nephew and realized I forgot his boots........back home. Fished for a while but did more retying, untangling than fishing. Also spent a while showing him what little I know of casting , mending and drifting. Spied a guy up from me a bit and thought "Hey that looks like Rich" sure enough it was. He was heading out for breakfast. We fished (cast, tangle, cast, drift, cast, snag, retie) for a while and then the drag on the new reel went kaput. We then left and went into town to get something to eat renew my license (got my doe permit) and buy some swivels. Town was PACKED went in MCD's, BK and Arby's and just turned around and left. Ended up eating at the little trailer outside of All seasons not bad and real food. Went back to Altmar to see if we could find Jack and sure enough he and Rich were sitting on the porch talking. Decided we were going to go back to the LFZ. Nephew had no reel so we booked it back home and I got another reel and met them there.
Now the report as Rich said lots of stealth snagging, but folks were more civilized today overall. I hooked 2 fish in the AM and 1 in the motor in the PM. On the last cast I had one hit a chartreuse estaz fly and it was game on. My net man (nephew) was spot on. I tried to give him the pole, but he would not take it.
Rich hooked a few and it seems Jack did well and got a steel in the net and a few nice salmon to hit. My camera was not working here is a picture of the 2 master Anglers at work.
I will have a pic of mine as soon as Brian E mail it to me.
DEC made an appearance in the boat a bit before we left at 4 -430 checked a few licenses and wagged a few fingers at the amount of weight being used and then were on their way.
PS
Rich you were right it was left handed threads and I think I may be able to fix it.
