My trp to cortland store

I put in 2 cords today in the AM and they were having a big sale, so with the rain I made the 1 hour trip.    I went to but material and was very disappointed that they cut WAY down on materials and the prices was a little more than All seasons.  What I was happy with was the price of the poles, reels and lines.   .50c climax mono tippet 25 yards.  Lots of reels that were last years model for steep discounts.   Lots of line that were "blemmed" for $10.   From what the guy said usually off color, not pulled from the machine perfect or a few inches short on the back end.  I had used them before and never noticed anything.   Lots of poles on sale  AND for 20% off.

I ended up getting a Procast  9/10 reel that retails for $70 on the net unloaded  for $30 with backing and line included.
A 9 foot 8/9 weight Pro cast rod with a faster action than my current rod.   I was some leery on using my current rod for salmon as it is a slower action and my buddy has this rod and has gotten a few with no issues.   Cost $44     after sale and 20% off

10 spools of mono tippet 2 15lb for salmon,  2 in 4,6,8,10 lb for bass, steel ect      $5

2 bookd  "Stonfly and caddis Fly-fishing"  by Leonard Write jr    and "Streamer fly fishing"  for John Merwin  for $1 a piece.   For a buck I had to buy them

I also got some 9 wf   in a salmon taper  a prototype 9wf line  and a 6wf line out of the $10 section.   Here is the kicker, asked me where I came up from, told him an hour away.   Thanked me for driving so far to come shop and threw the line in the bag.

Ended up coming out of the store for $84 for a complete rod and reel set up, 10 spools of mono tippet , 3 fly lines and 2 books   a helluva deal if you ask me

Sounds like a great sale.  How long is it lasting, as I could be going to bingo town in early October?

L the sale is going through this week.  But they usually have a few things on clearance all the time.   The better selling stuff is usually retail price though.  The pole, reel and Salmon taper line I got last year was the same price in the outlet store as in was in  Pineville.   I think they have a little "wiggle"  room in price on a few things though.
