Most wanted list 2013

I think most hunters that do any kind of scouting make a mental list of the deer they would like to shoot. I always like to narrow my list to the top three bucks that if I see opening day of archery I wouldn't think twice about shooting.

Please anyone who has photos of their most wanted list post them up!

Some of my pics are from mid august when the deer have velvet. Mid august is when I stop putting down minerial in front of my camera, it just helps keep the deer still long enough to get a good quality photo. I am still getting video of these deer from other cameras, just not nearly as good quality as my still shots.

So here is my top three.

#3 A nice typical 8 point, we call him "Slanty" for his brow tines slanting a little, that characteristic is common with many of our larger 8 points here. He is the most prevalent on all my cameras.

#2 A buck named "Crabby" pretty self explanatory. Of my top three he is the most camera shy, still get enough pics to keep him on the list.

#1 His name is "Matrix" for a couple reasons, first reason is I named him after my new xbow (matrix 380) because that what I hope to kill him with. The other reason the name fits is because of all the twists and splits and how complicated his rack is.

Nice!  That 3rd buck is a beast!

Here's another picture of the same 8 I posted in the other thread pictured with "The Club".  I would say these two are at the top of my list although my buddy has a pic of another big 9 point from another property w hunt that looks similar to the 8 pictured below.

Yep that's him.  He's not going to be the highest scoring buck ever, but he looks to be 3.5-4.5 and has a pretty interesting rack on him.

Very cool rack on him. I dont get caught up in B&C or P&Y scoreing, its fun to guess but I dont let that determin if I will shot or not shoot a deer. Some times just how the hunt plays out will have me shooting a deer I generally pass on, just because the story is a good one. Sometimes I pass on deer that I later ask myself why did I do that? Its all part of the fun and excitment.

I got a few other good 8 and 9 points that didnt make my top three that depending on my mood if I see them earlie season may be getting tagged. But it hunting I may not ever see any of the deer I have been getting on camera. Just a few more weeks...

Yeah all of those deer are way to young to be shooting just look at how thin they are, Basically in the neck. And no more than 2/3 year old.   But each to own. Nice feed blocks ya got there ya know you really needed to remove those WAY before you hunt that area RIGHT

I already started making phone calls to the 8 ajoining property owners, and the family and friend that hunt with them, telling them not to shoot these deer if they see them because they are not of age yet. Tonight I will go door to door to all the amish neighbors that live with in a mile or two with a printed photo to hand them informning then to do the same. All I need now is contact info for all the poarchers who have in thepast taken deer out of season in my area... Thanks BigHead_1, together we can save these deer from being killed.

As for the my "Feed Blocks" that I openly said was placed there to hold the deer long enough to get good quality photos, yes they have been removed a long time ago. That was stated in the 3rd paragraph, 2nd sentence in the original post. Infact me saying the blocks being there and being removed came in the same sentence.

I know its tricky to know that if you didnt read the post

I have already posted flyers around the township with pictures of each buck shown above advising hunters not to kill them for at least the next 3 years or until master Bighead gives the ok.  I'm truly glad you pointed out the errors of our ways, BigHead.

OMG, I wouldnt pass on any of them deer, and YES they would go on the wall. I've only ever had a couple of cracks at a wall-hanger, and them all would do just fine.

nice bucks, all you guys.  I hope to see some pics of them laying deflated soon!!  The matrix buck is rediculous, and I really like that "bowl" shape on the one BH.

I cant watch them huntin shows. lemme rephrase, I have to force myself to watch. What sickens me is the fact that most of them shows are done on someones deer ranch. In comparison, be like fishin at seas world. Although I have learned quite alot from them shows, I am determined to take that wall-hanger from the woods of PA.
