Smallmouth boys

Just wondering if anyone is picking up any smallies out in the main lake!

We did good today on main lake for bass. We had a few 3+ and one 4+ smallie during a half day trip and plenty of 2s. Probably about 18 total today with some nice LM mixed in. It was pretty rough out there today with high winds too.

We struggled Saturday, but had a few decent ones and 9 total on the day. Anyway not sure that helps but the smallies are around and we didn't have to travel too far today. FYI we used Bassin' on the Bay Charters (https://www.facebook.com/...rters/236841363068228) for the two bass trips and had a great time, and they finally taught my dad how to catch them and have confidence with lures. Hopefully it means I never have to stop for live bait for him again!

Yea.  Saturday was a STRUGGLE.  More bites from the flies than the fish.  Only boated 1 smallie and 1 largemouth and a few rock bass.  Lost 2 smallies at the boat.

Hock I'll PM because it's info overload and probably no help anyway. It was a lot of searching and moving trying many schools and marks. Wish I could say one depth but it was very much scattered and of the tons of fish marked all over and we'd have to work for them and pick off one here and one there. We never developed and rhyme or reason to what could be considered a pattern.

One thing I did notice with our limited number of bites:  When we went over a bait ball, we got bit.  No bait on the screen, no bites.
