When do you plan on starting your Steelhead season?
I plan on starting Tuesday Sept 17 and spending 3 days at it, rain or shine! If it is raining it will be a good test of my new tiny camper and my patience. I even used Coleman's seam sealer on my Parka and Popup Canopy! Going to do flies and ultra lite spinning and Budweiser!

As soon as possible. Probly the last week in september just so its a safe bet there are good fish in the creeks. Caut my first last year sep 11 at walnut

Id never drink either of those. Quality is better than quantity and the same goes for steelhead fishing. Id rather catch just a few and be fishing with good friends than catch a lot and be there with nobody. again I wish you well on the tribs and be safe. There are some dummies out there. ( Ill never see any ;) )

H3Fisher, not sure what creeks you were looking in, there were fish in Trout run and Walnut on Saturday. Caught a few jacks and went home after the kid casting the chatter bait on his zebco scared the chit out of them all.

H3 I left trout run around 11, maybe the fish swam back out as the water cleared but there was about half a dozen along the wall. One guy caught about a 22" steelie at the mouth early on a kwikfish and a kid and myself hooked a couple. Left walnut around 2. Place was pretty cleaned out during the rain but it filled right back up

My season started 20 years ago and hasnt ended. It has been a few months since Ihad time off to go again. Remember, I catch as many steelies in july as I do in Oct. or January. ....WF...only difference is, for some reason, my hands are colder in January. Go figure.
