Just kept working the holes and walking downstream, got to the last spot put the fly on the hookholder and was turning around and saw a fish splashing its way up. Stood and watched as he popped up in the tail of the hole I had been working and he stopped and just held there. Made 3 casts to him and he smacked it 3rd time, good head shake and 4 nice runs, notice his belly was pretty beat up. Took 15 minutes to revive him and he swam away.

    Hes there somewhere

headed back to the truck after a half hour and moved down.
    love empty lots

was in you know whos area, old whats his name?

crossing the river to work the good side I almost stepped on 2 males in the 12 pound range and never saw another fish.

back to the truck moved down some more, no sightings and it was getting muggy, headed for home. 1 for 1 to start the 13 season.

John,if you're able to get free the end of Sept. ,first of Oct. me and the other old fart will show you our secret spot! You can leave the boat home as this spot is too secret for boats as they leave no place to hide.

Pretty awesome John . Great pics and wish I was there to join ya. Glad at least you took us all along for the trip.
Seems things are shaping up for a great season so far and you luck stiffs are catching a few before the mayhem .
Can't wait to see the USA crew in just a little over a month and hope Jack will think about braving some later season too when those trouts start making their way

Have fun and keep us glued to the pages

Nice. 1 for 1 is a good start. I'm rather jealous.

Its getting real close, my neighbor has a maple tree that is already turning its leaves and dropped a few.
