getting the itch

well sent my money up for this years trips.   tieing flies like crazy some for  salmon (estaz ) some for steeles (sucker spawn)  new colors   keep watching the web cam and each day it looks better and better  hope the weather cools down some  for sept  going up the 2nd weekend hope to catch a nice run      going to introduce another old head to the sport hope he can take it    my brother is to young to retire and I'm done for the last time in Dec  (hope the wife feels the same way about it)  may be doing a lot more steel head fishing this winter.

ssgt12, a forthcoming congrats on the upcoming retirement.. Man I envy you guys and only wish to live so long..lol..
I'm getting a bit itchy for salmon as well, only its for my planned 5 day lake trip 3 weeks from today with friends and family..  I hope something might pop up sooner :)

Always had some success on the labor day release, be it fish or fun , its a great time to hang on the shores of Ontario for summers end..
I will get my "Salmon" river itch scratched I'm sure netting all Jack's Kings in late sept .. Only hope he gets tired enough to let me try for some Chromers and has enough energy to chase them down with me..lol..
I'll let you know the status as I know in 3 weeks..

I have the same problem... except the river runs through my backyard and im constantly pacing the banks looking for 1 or 2 early runners.

But I have got my flies taken care of and rods and reels ready to go... now i just need the fish to start running.

ill keep you guys posted... havent heard much about the Skamanies in a while, but ill ask around and see what anybody else knows.

But as soon as they start running give me a day or 2 to have some fun myself before it turns into a circus lol
