Headed out
Leaving tomorrow morning and coming back sunday night.. Gonna try for perch and walleye.. Boat is kinda small so were gonna take it easy and just stay closer to the shore and hopefully get into some.. Will report back with some pics on Sunday Even. Ed

Good Luck Ed, Headed up with a buddy this weekend as well.

I don't always snag fish, but when I do... I choose Little Cleos I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

Only Friday we did really good on perch and bass.. 51fow out of the channel.. On Saturday it was alittle choppier and we went to where the pack was in 55 fow and only caught 2 perch.. On my way back in something happened to my motor and it would rev itself really high but wouldn't move . I had to come in about 2 mph lol .. I was told possibly the cluth.. We looked over the stuff that we thought it might be but cant find anything wrong, tried to turn the prop outta water, took the lower unit apart, fuel filter, things like that and everything looked fine

What motor is on your boat E? If it's an outboard it could be the prop spinning on the hub. They are normally rubber mounted and after time they will slip. You can't usually spin them by hand but when under power they will do like you described. They can be rebuilt fairly reasonably, but I would get an extra prop to carry with you anyway. Accidents happen and it's not much fun changing a prop in the water but it could save your azz someday...

It's not rubber mounted, its spline together solid..

99.9% there's rubber between the splined bushing and the prop, it may be painted and not look like it's there...

A good way to check for a spun hub is to mark the bronze hub against the aluminum part of the propeller with a permanent marker, take the motor out for a "spin" and see if the marks still line up.

The bass were hitting on tubes and the perch on sabikis.. cant wait to get back up in a few weeks
