anybody here? I JUST GOT A NEW ROD!

check it and feast your eyes.
I got it from my neighbor across the street. 
reel-  orvis battenkill large arbor III 
rod-   orvis trident TLS Mid flex 7.0 9'   6 wt line

 
Its my first fly rod... i need to get practiced up before the fall
 
im still learnin my knots but whats a decent set up for erie tribs?

    2X leader or equivalent.  
    #12-18 eggs and nymphs.
    #8-12 buggers
    Some lead between you and those flies...generally within 6-30" of them, depending on condition.
     
    If you're only using it for Erie tribs, you don't even need to practice, just flop around the last few feet of line.

    Shes a beautie , yer gonna like the way you look---I guarantee it !
     
    A simple roll cast is all you will need for the Erie tribs. But it cant hurt to practice the motions if you want to let it fly a long way if your going to hit open waters.

    It's such a nice rod, even I could through all the fly line off it... LOL

    Some people are like Slinkies...not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
