    Jack, ole' friend,
This board don't have to die unless folks wish to R.I.P it until the crazy season on a crazy stream (river) happens again.
TB put it out there , the summer thread..
I'm a year rounded fisher and enjoy the outdoors.. I enjoy the company of folks I have met through this forum.. I don't enjoy the silly season that happens on this forum though. Hence reason I have refrained..
If talk the talk then I expect they walk the talk.. I'm by no means an expert but at least I walk the talk..
I'm willing to give it another shot and share experiences I have as well as enjoy those of others..
I don't want however wish to engage in drama about the internet forums..
Again my thing is about sharing experiences and maybe putting a smile on another face.. To sit at home, work or what ever and read a story, see a photo is what makes my day..

Here is my story which put a few smiles on my face to an end of Striper season 2013 and the beginning of trout 2013 to come next week:

Many stripers were caught in a short time span but these were the most memorable to me:
My 27 year old son who was laid off week prior joined me on his first striper outing and was rewarded BIG time with many fish: I never laughed so hard..

His brother (twin) who also was rewarded 2 days later on his  first striper outing with the old man.

and finally yes, my ugly mug on an amazing day:

Rich.you're correct on that pose with the Striper..It is prettier than you
Good to see you and others are out there fishing. I'm stuck at home with my best friend,Mollie the Boxer dog, because my wife went  to  the daughter in Ohio and we were not invited to go.So I'm spending a lot of time "doing things" around the property. However my day will come to fling a line again.

Jack I never said I was pretty but somehow I always seem to smell like fish, not cologne..
Your most welcome to come to the ADK's next week and swat those black flies away..
Seems they tend to swarm a stinky fisher like me more then others..

    P.S.
Notice my old wader , fish pants.. Lots of slime on those puppies from recent

I was wondering how the striper hunt was going for you.   Glad you got a few to the boat.   I will have a few reports this year including my big trip to Northern Quebec for Walleye (and Pike if we get some jigging by mistake).  Some big fish up there in past years with Eyes in the high 30's and pike in the high 40's.   Never had a scale.   I even got a Sturgeon close to 5 feet.  Bigger fish have been getting scarcer up there the past few times though.

    Clint,
I must say you are the inspiration here as twobob reminded me..
We are mostly just old hats that crow a bit..
Have a blast in canada but gosh almighty bring 100% deet and smoke Phat cigars.. It's brutal up there..
    Good luck  :)

Tuna, its quite inspirational to see your boys out with you having a blast after never really taking interest in it ever before.... great job!!! My kids love to fish right now. I can only hope that they still do at that age.... we've gotten a decent array of species in the past two weeks... im going for walleye in early june.... large mouth and small mouth are right around the corner... a friend of mine is bugging me to hit ADK's but i dont quite have the time right now... have fun when you go and hopefully jack accepts the invite and joins you...

Nice bass Tuna, and good to hear from you.  Pretty water too, the Hudson looks like a big old windy ADK lake trout lake where you're mining it.  See you in the fall, if not sooner.  Watch for a patch of ramps on your way in and rub those on you, confuses the hell out of the little black demons, although you will not be welcome at any gin mills on the way back!
