Presque Isle ponds

Wanting to take the kids fishing in a few weeeks.What species are in tide ponds and is there any other hidden ponds on the Penninsula?Also tactics baits etc.Thanks for any info!

    you might want to check on the lagoon trails...do a little walking and you might be suprised...there are some good spots you can walk to...but BE CAREFUL OF TICKS...spray and spray again...I think the number is 60% of the deer ticks on the penninsula carry lymes dissease...

    Gotta love the ticks on PI....gosh they're awful.  Always check once...and check again!

    A lot of the ponds are pretty filled in. If you want to take the kids hit the lagoons at the livery, or Misery Bay. Simple tactics, bobbers and minnows, grubs, or worms.  I am posting this thinking of the ticks.

    I didn't know that about the ticks. That's a good piece of info to know.

    Just wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt. Tuck your pants into your boots and you'll be fine.
