Not confused. The thread is fishing the lake . Not about a eating advisory. Start another thread then.

Had my drag zinged plenty of times in a certain river that falls down a cliff aprox 180' in the early 90s ( Fall oct. nov ) . You could stand on a rock about the size of a house and straight down about 20 -30 feet of crystal clear water there would be hundreds of them. What a run down the rapids to a back swirl where you could turn them and work them into shore. When you would get a king on you were in for a real treat. Never kept a laker just a quick release and back upstream for more. I would say that is the the best adrenalin packed fishing I have ever done.

Oh sorry,I guess rmcmillen needs to start another thread as well as I don't see how fishing in a river goes with your lake fishing thread.
Have a great day!

slabnabbit I did it again Just went on rambling with another mindless story. My apology for that infraction, eyedream I think a good kerosine marinade for at least 12 hours should help in preparing your quarry .

What's that recipe? Cook them on a cedar plank after marinading in Italian Dressing and garlic. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Remove and discard fish and eat the plank.

Grind up the fish in a meat grinder. Scoop the ground fish into a blender. Puree for 5 minutes. Let set in fridge for 24 hours. Remove from fridge, scoop the top 50% of the fish out. Add to chowder or mix with cracker crumbs and eggs to make patties. Take the remainder of the fish in the blender and sell to China. They will use it to make thermometers...

Even better recipe (takes a while longer to prepare though)
Dig a hole.
Insert fish
cover with dirt
Plant tomato plant directly over top of the fish
tend plant
Grow tomato
Eat tomato

Lakers are best when used as an ingredient in VEGETABLES.
