3/29/13

Well I decided to shoot up after work and fished from 6:00 to 7:30.  Not alot of folks around at all and had my pick of spots.   Tried a few things and switched up every 15 minutes until I found what they wanted.  Tonight it was the  size 10 green bean caddis  I went 0/2 with a dark male and a lighter female on.   On the first one it made a run up and then quickly down and I could not keep up with it an the line got wrapped around my handle and I could not untangle it fast enough and it broke off.   Second one popped after a few minutes.   I lost a few flies tonight now I have to replenish  my supply of green beans and pink steelhead hammers before the AM.  I want to get out early to get my spot..................

    I'm going to HI JACK your thread Clint as the date is right for my report on Ohio.
    Fished the Rocky River in Cleveland today 'cause it was the only game in town.The east side tribs were all blown due to snowmelt on the snowbelt.
    Did n't do much,lost one and that was it.Saw a couple others on but overall there does not seam to be many fish in the river.Decided to stay home today because I did n't want to fish in a crowd and I'm tired,I MUST be getting old!
