Pulling plugs in pa
Hope to try this method with a few of my buddies this spring. I think it originated out west in Oregon or Washburn either or got to use it in newyork on the salmon river. It's called pulling plugs or hot shotting .
For use guys that are unfamiliar with it your basically Ina drift boat but I can't afford one so I'm in a raft.
You paddle down stream towards your desired hole then drop anchor for a few. Pull out your plugs wether it be rapalas, flat fish river rockers or some crank bait run three rods. The two side rods equal length for example left and right rod 30 feet middle 40 feet then pull up your anchor and drop in the hole. Paddle against the current slightly just enough to work the plugs. Basically your starting at the head of the hole and working your way to the tail out most stri,Ed occur at tail out because fish are backed down and left with a choice strike or leave hole. Pretty cool thing if you guys have never done it have done on steel browns and salmon crack downs are incredible tell me what you think going to work on yougheigheny and another in named stream close to home.
