lock/dam on ohio river, route 68 near industry, pa

So i drove past there on the way to western beaver high school.  I pulled down onto a side road to get a better view.  Anyone know if you can fish from shore up against the dam on the route 68 side? Or how far down river can u fish?   I saw a fence but couldn't tell how far down it blocked off.  Looked like a place id like to try but wondering if you can access it legally.  Thanks.

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."

That is the Montgomery l&d. Yes you can fish it from the 68 side, I was there for the first time a few weeks ago. The shore is really steep leading down to it so be careful, but the place has a decent amount of fishermen. Good fishing, I will go back for sure.

It was a great eye fishery till the big benzen spill 20 plus years ago,I live close to it and had many 50-75 fish days years ago, down river where the rocks start great smallmouth action in April and May most years, still get eyes but not like years ago.

the montgomery dam is an excellent place to fish. I frequently fish there.  Cant give you much more info since everyone else has already gave you the nitty gritty! You can fish the other side (Potter TWP/Raccoon TWP) if you walk the train tracks back to a trail head and follow it down to the river.
