3/16/13

Well not much of a report, but I did manage about 2 hours.   Church had 4 guys in it about 6 right below the bridge and  4 at the bend.   Did not see one hook up all the time I was there.   Had a bad start and stuff started going wrong so I called it a day.   Left home with NO split at all.   Went to the shop next to the zone with the attached place to eat  (forgot the name) only needed split but a $10min on CC purchases  (don't blame them)  had to buy a few flies to get it up to $10.  There is a new owner there and he is a young guy that seems pretty nice, but the prices were  a little high and inventory low  (he said he will start to stock up over the summer), at at around $4 for a small bag of tin split    and $2 a fly I know why I tie my own, but I picked out 3 that looked interesting that I could copy.    3rd  cast I snagged up and lost my only lead split and the leader broke at the swivel.   Tied a new tippet on and dropped my reel in the snow and packed it good with snow.   It kept freezing up after that.       15 minutes later got a big snarl up in my leader and had to tie a new one on and by then my  fingers were pretty cold.     Fished for another 1.5 hours with my reel frezzing up and not a tap anywhere in sight so I called it a day.   All Seasons was now 30% off on all ice fishing gear  so I stocked up on lines and a few other things.      On the way to Pulaski I noticed 5  or 6 cars in each lot.  Pressure was low.

In Clint's world it is the 22nd.  Days, months, years all look the the same in time.  You go Clint, at least you know what you mean, God Bless.

Call it a brain freeze  (literally), semi senior moment,  or I just might be going looney.    Bad thing is I did the same thing last year and wrote the wrong date on something on here.

I hate days like that, but at least you will admit to having them, Clint!
I turn 62 next Saturday, and I'm having more of them all the time!
