Send a congrats. Not sure if it is my tablet, but not sure what the 598# is? But 3rd best of anything, has to be nice.

If anyone happens to go near the lake, let me know if open water. Thinking to try my luck tomorrow or during the week if anything open.

Guessing that's shorthand for a 5.98lb Bass?  Oh hold up... black bear.  That's a BIG black bear!  The one living by our house is in the 200lb class based on trail cam / guessery.

O'Donnell's has a photo of the bear.  It is huge.

Lake is ice free.  Perch nowhere to be found.  Wind was ridiculous again.  Got a few crappie, large mouth and gills.  The 10 day weather looks pretty promising to head out again.  Although, not sure if the fish have moved out of their Fall patterns?

Porktown tell those fish to stay hungry ; hopefully I'll be along to help feed em. Bit busy right now hunting for something I didn't lose; no doubt I'll find it in the last place I look.

  Dave,

Noticed it 'bout 3 weeks ago. Took a walk past it today & the pile ov scrap is still there. In past 30 yrs. its been through 2 snow mobile bridges & the steel dam gate.  Should make it much better for the Suckers & Toothie Critters. Ment to take a photo today but forgot on way back.

Hopefully that is still open in the Spring.  I'd love to take my tin can down there.

Made 15 LED bobbers for XMas gifts, and grabbed another 20 lights for future use.  Going to attach to the dog, so I can see him running around the yard at night.  Usually just hear him a few seconds before he buzzes by my legs at 30+ mph.

Any advantages of night fishing in the Spring?

I'm out on the ice right now. There's still 10" on muddy creek. The top 2" or so is soft but the bottom 8" or so is solid clear ice still. It is getting air bubbles in it, so with these day time highs and sun or rain it won't be too much longer.

The worst day hunting or fishing will always be better then the best day at school or work!
