Power Pro super 8 vs Nanofil

I haven't used the super 8. Frequently use regular power pro though. The nanofil frays easier than standard braid in my opinion.

How do you like that Pfleuger Arbor reel? I was looking at them. Never bought it though.

They are both good lines but I prefer the Nanofil. The Super 8 is really limp, almost too limp for my liking. I had problems with it knotting up on the spool and the cast, especially when it was windy. It also depends on what pound line you are planning on getting. The Super 8 is more to my liking once you get over 30#. I use 6 or 8 lb Nanofil on most of my freshwater spinning outfits. My surf gear has 30 or 40 lb Super 8. As far as knots with the Nanofil, use a double palomar and you won't have any issues.

I bought the Pfleuger arbor 7430 last spring. Used it the next day , all day and liked it so much I went back to Fisherie and bought another one the very next day. I just recently bought 2 more and now I have one for each pole I use regularly. I have one on my noodle rod for steelhead , one on my pitching rod when I use worms,grubs and tube jigs , one one my top water rod , and one one a general rod that is used with plugs,spinnerbaits,spoons,and the like.
 
  All are spooled up with 15lb power pro , 2 with green and 2 with high vis yellow.  The reel will run you around $80.00 and it comes with an extra spool. So I essentially have 4 reels and 8 spools now.
 
I used to have problems with wind knots on a regular reel and spool. May just be the way I cast or whatever but I have not had one wind knot since buying these reels. I would recommend them to anyone. You can put some real muscle into your cast and the line peels off very smoothly without and foulups.

The nanofil frays easier than standard braid in my opinion.
