ICE on Presque Isle

Is there any fishable ice on presque isle. perhaps misery? i live 2 hours away and would like to catch some perch. thanks

    I Would say no... Its raining like crazy at the moment...most is unsafe in my opinion... Another start over for the year.

    I was just at misery bay. It is wide open! I managed to pull a 3 1/2 inch mooneye out. 1st cast.

    hey bloody, do you usually get moon eye there? are there any numbers of them and what u catch them on? thats the best catfish bait you can get, next to skipjack that is.

    They also work good for Burpits. They wash up dead on shore every year. Usually around this time, or ice out. My father-in-law used to collect em for bait. I caught that one on accident as it felt the need to smack a lure the same size as it was.

    BH is right you could come up with a 5 gallon bucket and collect the almost dead ones up from the shoreline as long as the shoreline isnt froze up and take em home for the freezer, All the catfish bait you can handle.....
