Perch fishing from the piers

When is the best time to fish for perch from the piers or shore in Erie.I have heard of people fishing for them and would like to give it a try.

    Spring is the best time when the perch are in transition from the bay to the lake. I used to fish it all the time with my Grandfather and his ole' timer friends. Always had a blast sitting on the pier listening to their fishin stories.

    You can still listen to the fishin  stories if yer in a bote. Jus sayin!
