custom painted guns & gun stocks

Hello fellow board members,

I'm currently entering my slow season as a sign maker/mural artist and was looking to take on a few projects to keep me busy over the winter. I've made my living as a commercial artist for the last 15 years and I've been airbrushing for about 20. I've posted a few pics of some guns I've done, but I can paint pretty much anything the paint will adhere to.

"walking dead" themed savage 12 ga pump. Oil enamel on wood.

Retro-style leaf camo shotgun stock. Acrylic enamel on wood.

Custom camo 12 ga turkey gun(I don't remember the make) Oil enamel on metal/synthetic plastic.

I recently even tried doing a little carving. Work in progress on an old savage single shot.

Here's my brother in law's Nissan Titan tailgate. The pic really doesn't do it justice. It was hard to get a good shot without glare, but you get the idea. It's Kronos from wrath of the titans.

Oil enamel on metal/plastic

I have a couple of really good ideas for a few more tailgates. Some are themed with the type of truck(fighting bighorns on a ram, arctic landscape for a tundra...ect.) Others are not. I really want to do a panoramic underwater view of a bunch of trout staging in a stream. So far no takers. If anyone has any projects they're thinking of getting done feel free to post or PM me, off season discounts apply.

Thanks
Mike

A lot of times I can work within someone's budget. If you're willing to do some of the prep work and the finish clear coating yourself it really isn't that expensive.  I spend more time prepping than painting most times. A decent snow camo wouldn't really take that long to paint either.

More often than not, I am willing to work on trade as well.  Shoot me a pm with the make of your gun and whether or not it has a wood or synthetic stock. If you have a pic of the camo pattern you want include that to. I'd be more than happy to give you a quote.

Thanks for the compliment. It comes with tons of practice.

I figured I'd add some examples of some of the other work I've done as well.

Tuscan window - Acrylic on drywall

Portrait of my wife before she was my wife - Mixed media on illustration board.

Mural in my former employers house - acrylic on drywall/wood

Nana & Papa - Mixed media on illustration board
My most recent work. It's a portrait of my grandparents that I did last week. I started on it about a half an hour after my grandfather passed. I finished it in 2 days and had prints made for the family to hand out at the funeral.
