It's going up and I'm going out.  Sunday. There'll be fish, that's my prediction.  I just hope it doesn't  go  over a thousand in Pineville. I noticed it's about 150 over the discharge, so I hope it stays around 900 a little lower. More fish, fresh fish......Yeah!   I somehow doubt this is going to go higher as the rain isn't supposed to be much.  We'll see.  I just found out through a little research that Brookfield owns and operates one of the best and most famous places  for  Landlocked Salmon . The Seboomooc Dam on the West Branch of the Penobscot in Maine.  That one rips at will with a horn for warning.  A friend of mine almost drowned trying to get a big landlock in right at the start of a release.  He took a ride.  I'm thinking of going there again  in early summer.   Longer and a much steeper gradient than the SR.   Lots of Moose and  Bear.  Cool place for great fish.  They're not considered unicorns there.  I though it kinda coincidental that Brookfield controls these two very famous rivers.

Charlie  PM me if you know where and when you are going to start  on Sunday.   Might be able to sneak out for a bit if I get my drywall done tomorrow.

I've snorted my share and then some of white dust in my time, Clint. Hope it goes well. If I was around I'd help- I'm a decent taper-run many hundreds of feet.  I'll give you a call tomorrow night. I haven't decided yet and I'm not starting  on the river  real early, as we're going to drive out  early  Sun. morning and stay through Monday afternoon.

Leave a message if you do and I do not answer.  Cell reception is spotty at best at my house.   A bit later is OK by me too as I have found I do not like getting up and out on the cold days

Here I go again-- story of my mid to late season- lol
Was gonna try and get up Tues night or even Wed AM. Well politics got in the way and now its late Wed night or Thurs AM--Hate gettin into my place freezin cold and not sleepin till 3 AM or so.
Anyhoo -will try and fish Thurs PM and Friday till whenever. This pending other peoples catostrophic BS the likes of which had kept me away for so many weeks. My Moms expected passing  being an exception.
All things considered, may well skip the fly rod and use the noodle with 8 or 10 lb and small blue sacs upriver. Cept if trying the Zone if all else fails up there.
Pretty much just wanna fish where I like to fish wether or not fish are there.
If this doesnt work am kinda OUT till at least mid Jan.  Who ever said retirement gives ya all the time ya need for this stuff. On the other hand local Ct Deer huntin has been GREAT.

Unfortunately for HT, he spends more time wrestling with the frog masters (French company)  and chasing after the extended family than he does H&F.
No ice, so I put the yak in- got a couple of pike on bunny flies- sooner or later it'll harden up...... Let me know if you see one of those magic augers on sale.
    Time to hit the road.

    For dime
Well I never got round to posting about the flow but I had thought that the increase was only going to last a couple days since the res was not full.
I thought it was just a chance to make some money off the xmass lights and such while they had some water.
Well I see that they got over an inch of rain on the tug so I guess 750 looks like a sure bet for awhile.
Proof of my infailability as a seer.
Time to lace up the boots and get um.
This should move some numbers of fish up river if they exist this year.
Good luck to all getting out.
For me its the sidelines with Tuna living through all your reports.

Bob, i guess my assumption of 1800 or more turned in to a steady 750... notice the run off bringing it over 900 though... good hard rain last night too!!! Wish i could find the time myself but im a sideliner myself for now...
