Any steelhead in the bay yet?

Have any steelhead moved into the bay area yet? If so any help on location and lures would be great. If you would rather PM me feel free. God Bless..Hock

Cascade has not had many steelhead this year, but I have caught a few casting spoons in the typical areas (horseshoe, stinkhole, marina, etc.). A few of my buddys who troll spoons in the bay have been doing pretty well, but it really depends on the waves and wind. I am hoping to get out on my friend's boat soon, but our work schedules don't mesh too well so that has been a challenge.

Would the east or west piers be worth trying?

I once caught a smallmouth in neshannock creek with a spit n' image fish on a 8'6" 3wt fly rod. I had a spin rod with me, I just wanted to look cool with the flea pole!!!

Very impressive, quite the feat...bet it would have been much easier with that spin rod.

    Congrats
