"How much does a poetic license cost, and where can I apply for one?"

Spoon...I wonder how old you have to be to get a SENIOR lifetime poetic license. We should look into it.

I totally agree that we are butchering the English language while operating smart phones. I for one am able to write professional documents in one sitting and send a hyrogliphic(probably misspelled, not looking that up right now) text message as I'm walking away. I think it's the convenience and speed if the butchering that makes it more convenient. As long as people understand what you are saying at a high rate of speed then I don't have a problem with it. The world is revolving to a now now now society and I'm def playing my part. Notice how fast u understood that def meant definitely.

A bad day fishing is better than a good of anything.

I don't always exercise my shoulders...but when I do I fish for steelhead....

The English language is a bit unique. It's the only language in the world that has more non-native speakers than native speakers. In addition there are a multitude of dialects, both internationally and within the countries where it is the primary language. Even its origins, loan words, etc., lead to a lot of interesting stuff, like grammar rules and their various exceptions.

Of course, language is a means of communicating. As long as it can be used for that, however it's used, there is no real problem.

As to the question of early returns and late runs, it all depends. It depends on the strains, the location, the conditions and a bunch of other stuff. I can say that I have hooked a chrome fish in an Erie tributary in the spring before, and I once saw a large, darkly colored steelhead in the low and clear waters of the Walnut access on a hot day in early August. These are just anecdotes, and obviously not the norm. But worth noting nonetheless.

The only thing certain about "the runs", is that they seldom occur at a convenient time or location

Pete,

Let's please leave grammar out of this. We're still in mourning after that horrible Reindeer accident.
