travel rods

Anybody have any suggestions for a decent travel rod? I'm looking for a light or ultralight spinning travel rod. The longer the better. Anybody own anything they like? I'd prefer something with a case that allows me to keep the reel on the rod, but that's really not that important. I've been doing a lot of looking around and a lot of them get pretty bad reviews, but I think a lot of the people writing them are probably idiots. Just looking for something that would fit in a back pack and be good for trout, possibly stream smallies. I'd also like to keep it well under $100, unless that's what it takes for it not to be garbage.

I have a 5'6" ultralight St Croix 4 piece travel rod.  Bought it this spring and so far I'm pretty happy with it.  The action on the rod is nice, you don't even really notice it's a 4 piece rod when using it.  For throwing small spinners/rapalas it works well.  It packs down into a roll-up nylon case so you can't leave your reel attached though.
 
They are normally $100, I got mine****s on sale for around $60.

Thanks for the suggestions, that st croix looks like a nice option, ill keep my eyes peeled for a sale. Invicta, when traveling with it do you leave the reel on and line through the guides? I'm just thinking that with that style of case, you'd either have to break it completely down between spots, or risk tangles, or snags in the backpack. I'm looking for something to use on bike trails.

I believe LL Bean has something similar. They have some combos that break down and come with a reel on rod case, and they also have some 4 piece rods that come with a tube (but no reel). Haven't fished them, just remember seeing them in the fishing catalog.

LL Bean has some nice inexpensive 4 piece travel rods.  Out of their tube they fit it a small carry on type suitcase or backpack.  Unless they put them away for the winter LL Bean at Ross Park Mall carries them.   I think they were under $100, AND they have a great money back guarantee.
