Rain Rain go away?

I'm making my fall trip up in a few days. Doesn't look like any rain is forcast before I get there. With the water being as low and clear as it looks on Uncle Johns webcam, It looks like I'm gonna be doing quite a bit of walking looking for pockets of fish that havnt been raped and pillaged by u guys. The problem I have is my buddy's dad is coming up with us and he just had 2 knee replacements...... Since we are staying at Uncle Johns, he is limited to either fishing right behind the camp or getting in the car and trying spots on walnut,16 or 20 mile that are close to the road. He was ok in the spring with the water being higher at 20 and 16, we stuck him in the first hole off the road and he did pretty well. With the water being this low, I can't imagine the same will be true for this week. Any suggestions?

    the fish stick out like a sore thumb in these conditions ...so there ain't too many places for them hide where they DON'T get "raped and pillaged" by others looking for the same thing you are

    going to be a matter of timing, me thinks
    two options ....someone has to "land" an easy spot well before daylight and hold the position til  the fellow has enough light to fish
    the other option will depend on pure happenstance
    It's a matter of being at the right place at the right time   for  "shift change" ....the morning shift anglers moving out and the "second shift"  anglers moving in
     
    I've got lucky plenty times that way at major fish holding spots and had them all  to myself for an hour or  so  before the second shift crew started rolling in

    .... Just looked at the gage for the elk. Did I miss the rain report? The flow spiked and on the webcam it looks much higher than Saturday morning. What happened?

    Obviously it rained.... I didn't think u drunkards all ****ed in the stream at the same time. How much did it rain and when

    If you change the parameters on the gauge to the same date, you can learn that info yourself.

    So how mobile is he? Does he have to stand on the shore? Can he go up or down a small bank?  I may have some suggestions for you.

    he can walk just not far distances. small banks would probably be ok.
