tough day

Fished with a guy from work and his friend, my intent was to work the plugs slam some chrome and have a good time. Good time was had but no chrome was slammed floated from altmar to pineville twice and had one 6lber hit jump twice and pop free in the bovines and a swing and a miss tail of the trestle. Saw plenty of chrome on stringers but they were not on the plugs yet, egg paterns in white and beads were the reports, had the float and fly rods with me but stuck to the plugs, oh well got a good work out today. Heres a pic of the monster landed!

Crowds down but it poured till noon, afternoon float saw very little fisherman a few goons and three boats. Actually pulled plugs threw the trestle both floats with knowbody fishing eithor side, all the bottle necks had 10 guys walking and glassing last weekend for the goons in my opinion.

In case you didn't get it from SImple knot's post, and for the readers who were asking earlier this fall, that is a Fallfish.  Caught on a hotshot!  That's a new one to me.

Thats how she looked yesterday when I went thru, I realize its early for plugs and the water still is to low for proper action in most spots but the steel is around and Ive been seeing them up top for over two weeks now, had to give it a try. Im trying to locate a fishing buddy for tomorrow beads, sacks and flies all day, I will hold some chrome tomorrow and it wont be a "Fallfish". Tightlines guys

I'll be on the water early upriver , 3fan .  My wife is going with me, and I'm meeting HT around noon.I would have liked to gone with you.  If you get stuck not having a shuttle and decide to float alone, PM me this evening and we may work something out, my wife or I  would gladly give you a ride between lots.
