Your welcome that is what I have found to work fish with a float at desired depth and use a small split shot also just to get it down there also a small jig 1/64in black white and pink. And any combination of the colors I like pink with some white on it. Also wooly buggers work nice too egg sucking leeches and nymphs sometimes also

Im not quite sure when they allow fishing at the walnut creek marina basin but if your buddy is in a wheelchair he can fish the entire way around it if its open for fishing when you come mup.

Im going to see if I can find out when unless someone else finds it before I do and posts it.

I still think the basin should be reserved for kids and the less fortunate/handicapped. IMO if you are in good health and can use all your extremities , go for a walk to find some fish.

When you use an egg sack under the bobber, you use a split shot at all?  I have egg sacks, but I have no idea how to use them.

if the sac is heavy enough (ohh boy) and the current slower, then u don't need any weight.  If you get into faster deeper water you may.  Never put the shot closer than 12" from...your sac.

I think you could find some better places than the Walnut marina basin.  If you want to get away from the nut house, you should be able to access Elk with a wheelchair at the McKean hole or Rick Road bridge.

Might need a little help getting stream side at rick road, but shouldn't be to difficult to access from the one side and give you some more options in a nicer setting.
