Northeast, maybe next time

Took advantage of the oppurtunity yesterday to get on the water with eyedreamn and bogey joker. I played hookie from work with high hopes of slob lakers all over the deck. We washed the heck out of Dave and Todds spoons for a tough 8hrs. Tough because not only was I on 3 hrs sleep but the lakers weren't there and the steelhead weren't cooperating. Tried a little bit of everything only managing a few smallies and one small laker. Was my first laker in hand so I was pumped even though he wasn't a giant. All in all I had a good time and was nice to get out on the water. For now I'll go back to dreaming about how awesome next time might be.

Thats awesome you got your first laker! They are a blast to catch, especially whenever you get into some of the 15lbs+ fish. I cant wait to get out after them in the up coming weeks.
