Ugly, no fishing for me unfortunately...had my hands tied up ;) i had friends out though in different sections of river and i had my eyes on the water in various spots throughout the weekend... fishing can be a pretty good spectators sport :)
3fan... nice job brother...those fish look fairly clean; just like the hatchery chinook females i saw on sunday up in the hatchery...thank god they finally came in decent abundance with sufficient water...i still believe closing of LFZ was a good idea as it was holding so many fish for about 4 weeks...it was good to see them resting as the bozo show persisted just below the bridge :)
Big bear, nice job on the steel! I drove by your camp early sunday morning snd saw you out there but had no time to stop... next time maybe
It was pretty funny to hear folks talking about the "high water"...got a giggle out of it :)

I wonder if we can get the administrators to sticky the water flow and generation schedule again. Now that it might actually vary from- today very low- tomorrow very low again. I readily admit, sometimes the river scares the **** out of me and I've slid off of banks and thought I was going to get floated like a leaf, or stared at crossings for 5 minutes trying to figure out if my life insurance policy was enough, but this fall was way too easy. Good to see ripping steel is going to be a game for the criminally skilled, not the average goon in clown waders. Charlie

Charlie, that may be a bit wishfull... varying the flows can lead to disaster/major catostrophe flooding wise especially this time of year as early snow falls may start coming and melting...
It looks like theyre keeping it at 285 still and the run off has crested in the river... all of you folks who are up for the week: forget about the salmon!!! Focus on the steelhead bite!!! The water is stabilized from the increase and runoff... they should be turning on...and at the same time, eggs are everywhere and the water temp has dropped. Tight lines folks!

Dime, what does a permanent thread here with the Pineville guage and release schedule have to do with anything? I think you misread that by a mile.lol. You might have read admins. wrong- they are now the moderators of this forum. We use to have a sticky-permanent post/link to the flows- got yanked as a Salmo thread. I don't advocate any flow schedule- don't know enough to even wish.....

Right over my bald head charlie...LOL... yes, that would be a valuable resource to have that again... i check regularly myself 99%the of the time... i only check waterline for the sheduled and changed controled flows... many folks make the mistake of relying on waterline... sometimes the actual flow is more than double of what they are releasing due to run off and small tribs... maybe a pm sent to the admin. With a kind request would do the job :)

I check the waterline and the actual flow almost every day from September till April and still sometimes get in trouble.

335, even better :) While I hate wishing my life away , Sunday can't come soon enough. Same story as last oct. got a free ride & fancy hotel in Syracuse for a few days. This time I hope it will be all about fishing . I know I should leave the phone in car but something tells me I might need it, let's hope it's just for giviging fishing reports.

With the increased flows from the tribs (running about 400 now at 285 we may be close to 500. I plan on hitting it one day at least this weekend.

Looking better all the time! HT, leave the phone in the car, check it a few times a day. You can send reports at night. Have some peace. Wish I was there, and Pafisher, too. NOT for the calls, for the great times. Charlie
