september 30th sunday buck
I guess i ment to post this last week...
Anyway Second night of the season, first evening in the tree, first sunday buck.
Long story short he came in last light like most do. about a 12 yard shot that i hit him a little higher then i wanted too(about the six rib back and came poked right on the other side of the diaphragm) slightly quartering too me shot. to take that all back i wish i had aimed a hair lower. Anyway. Arrow didnt poke out. Blood trail was non-exsistant after the first 40. then he hit a swamp. we looked til about 1 am, i went back the next morning around 730 and found him on the other side about 9 oclock. laying dead where the pictures were taken. about 200 yards from where i shot him.
Very low to the highest of high.
if anyone recalls last year i was in just about the same scenario(last year was way different) but an emotional roll coaster non the less.
Little bit of his stats
11points, 7 on the left, 4 on the right, longest G2 is 11 inches. i didnt do any mass measurements. or any kinda score. we'll have to wait on that.
field dressed in at 185 on a scale. not a guess.
