question for tippet

Just a couple for trout fly fishing , What is the shelf life for a spool of tippet ,, which brand or type is best for ice weather.... is it always best to stay with flourocarbon tippet all year? tia, sk

    - no set shelf-life- it all depends on exposure to heat and UV
     
    - i like RIO/SA/Climax
     
    - Flouro is for subsurface... mono for dries
    with flouro, make sure you check for nicks or wear
