Perhaps as punishment they can do community service by acting as fish attractors while you troll them around the lake a little.

probably like an episode from COPS, borrowed aunt's car which was a stolen vehicle and he doesn't remember the aunt's name neither, and a cousin left the poles at his house to hold for him till he got back from the store.  I hate it when you have relatives like that.

Around 12 years ago one of my Harleys was stolen
The F****** A** H*** caught riding it a few months later got probation.
The legal system can be a failure so don't expect much to happen to them in court.
Grand theft ended up being possession of stolen property.
The harshest thing to happen to him was a small fine for a bad license plate, no registration and no insurance.
He was also ordered to pay me, my $200 deductible and for a few accessories that insurance did not cover. The court never responded to me telling them that he never paid anything to me.
I was not able to say much about what happened because it was left up to my insurance company since I gave them the title and they declined to show up in court to push for the grand theft.
You would think that after they gave me a bank draft for almost $10K they would want to make sure he was not able to do this again any time soon.

The word got out pretty far and fast, he probably couldn't sell them. Wonder how they got him. Doesn't really matter, just glad they got him. Hope you get your stuff back in good shape quickly...

That's good news!  Happy to hear they got the scuzbag.

Been away from the site for a while...

This kind of thing sucks..

Around Oct. 7th a guy offered me two electric downriggers for $150.  Said a guy from work was down on his luck and needed cash quick.  I was texted a picture of them..  Ironhed, if you know of somethin like that, or anyone else for that matter, send me a PM and I'll forward the picture.  The guy who offered them to me has gone AWOL..  Multiple arrest warrants out for him

I love cats. I just can't eat a whole one..

Thanks everyone!  Thanks for the calls, texts, PM's and emails.  You guys/gals are a good bunch of duuds!

I got 5 of my rigs back and also recovered 2 rigs that were taken from another charter boat.  7 out of 42 isn't bad, eh!?!?!

One of the biggest leads came from a member of this site that read this very thread!!!!!
I will elaborate more after Monday(prelim hearing).
