home remedy?

does anyone have a home cure for tendonitis.
i have 2 arm support wraps from the old days.
1 just above the wrist and the other below the elbow.
helps a lot but i was smart enough to wear them before i let it redevelop.
all the old memories of why i didn't fish salmon for so long.

this is the first time in decades it has flared this badly and am wondering what others do.
rest is out of the question.

Bob, I will get you a list of exercises today at work from the Occupational therapist.   Try ice  and anti inflamitories for the acute pain.

thanks but neither of those options are on the table.

actually the truth is i hurt my arm less trying to land them than i do most of the time when its just about feeling their power.

So if your arm is in bad shape does that make you Onebob instead? Sorry man hope it works out for ya, I have the same reoccuring problem. Get better cause it sounds like the lake is pumping more fish in again, with more trout in the mix.

    thanks clint.
i have been doing some things that i had to do after i tore my bicep at the insertion point a couple years ago.
pretty much the same place on the forearm that the tendonitis always flares.

rolling up a dowel with a rope tied to it with a light weight hanging from it.
twisting it a certain way while holding a hammer.
wrist curls with a resistence band.

2B, did you ever think about switching a reel around? I reel left, but changed to right for awhile when I had an injury. It helped alleviate some of the pain- I was striper fishing at the time, so it was a grunt to haul them in. I'm sure you'd adapt to it very quickly.

fichy i might have to give that a whirl.
i do a lot of my casting ,drifting and hooking lefty but never put it together to reline and just go southpaw.
time and laziness prevent that from happening this trip.

jack are you a doctor or do you just play one on fishing forums.
you at least must have slept in a holiday inn recently.
that is a perscription i can get behind.
