plannin my yearly trip

well know that i have worked the stupid out of me....well not all of it. im thinking about making a trip this year, last year i stayed at uncle johns cabins and wasnt that happy at all they messed up our reservation and put us in one of there camp cars that had no heat
and at $60 a night i expected better but i shrugged off the anger i mean everybody makes mistakes, so heres the deal are there many places near the creeks that rents cabins for a decent rate a night? i would stay at uncle johns again but not if i have to

good day,
Joe

How much are you looking to spend? During the week or on the weekend?

don't give up on Uncle John. We stay there twice a year and he always hooks us up. You can't beat the convenience of being 10 feet from some pretty good holes on the Elk

The Clarion Hotel over by Presque Isle is pretty good also if you are looking for a decent hotel under $100 during the week. I stayed there many times before I moved here and I was happy with the rooms, the pool, and the breakfast was actually very good. It is not right on the lake, but very close to West Lake Road and 12th street so you could easily get to the westside streams.

Yes I agree and second the PondBearshWilly post regarding the El Patio. I would never stay at the Patio again or recommend it to a friend and I can't believe this place has not been shut down by the health department.

Presque Isle Passage, Sterattania Rd. right off of 90. Cabins, trailers, campers for rent by the nite, week or whatever. Close to all creeks, real nice place.

alll those places mentioned pale in comparison to green roof inn.  Good location, great price, clean rooms.  When im paying for it, i dont stay anywhere else.
