9/24 No report today
Had every intention of fishing after my MD appointment this am. I had an 8:00 appointment, but needed blood work so I got there at 7:30. There were already 10 old timers waiting in line so I drove around town for 1/2 hour. It was mobbed everywhere except the town pool in front of Dawn's there was NO ONE there. Got out of the appt at 8:30 got the blood work done by 9:00 and , it was still raining pretty steady. Stopped by All seasons and got my new license and got denied my DMP doe permit, but still had to pay the $10 what a crock. Picked up some synthetic hackle to try and some hooks. Drove down to Pineville and itwas pouring so I went home. It's on baby, every lot was 1/2 to 3/4 full on a Monday in the rain. Got home and the sun came out so I started so things I got to get done before steel start coming in. Chimney and stove cleaned, parged a few spots on the chimney that were flaking, changed the oil in my car and after lunch clean the garage and clean up my fly desk to take inventory for what I need for steel season. May go up on Wed if no rain or Thursday. Have to work Saturday and will go up Sunday. Then it is game on for my Wed through Tues Columbus day weekend and fishing in the circus. Hopefully some steel show up.
P.S. Lost 10lb in 6 months and off the blood pressure meds now due to the increased exercise all this fishing is giving me.
