It's almost like a flood!...Just checked the guage at Pineville and it spiked to 250!
That should get a bunch upriver, and there is a strong presence of Coho in the DSR

Gas was $3.999 when I arrived in town last Tuesday.  It was $4.059 when I left Friday.

Maybe a private float plane is the way to go these days I get 17mpg highway 14 city so I won't bother a visit unless I had at least a fishing buddy  to share expenses especially for accommodations . I would have to stay for at least two days up there hopefully three. I won't drink and so far quit smoking since my birthday the other day If anybody you know wants a partner let me know down here in nnj lol

    Great news Jack..
Here it's mostly all wind now with steady rain later. About 3/4 on rain gauge but I'm going to be cutting lots more firewood soon.. 50 + winds..
Long range, like next week.. Pretty stable.. All good with me..

Pineville (like last year) is a favorite area and got the thumbs up from the below 2a..
I think even with your lucky spot closed, We be OK !!

This would help spread out the salmon more throughout the river so for all of you info seekers lookin for that secret spot, you can now move out beyond the ballpark and use your shark rods in the usual haunts like Trestle Circus and Sportsmen Hole.

    your welcome.
if you wanted rain you should just have sent me tent camping earlier.
you can all buy me beers sometime.
hope  some of it hit the tug.
water clouded uo a lot around 2 but that only lasted for about an hour and a half.
    7AM til 3:30 or so.
good solid rain with bouts of heavey stuff thrown in.
sitting at mickey's, just a drowned rat.
    awesome day
pic of one to follow when i won't be using my limited battery life up.
suffice to say the run is still on.
maybe not what has been reported but never a time there weren't fish in front of me and most of the time it was steady streams of 10 to twenty with a new bunch pushing the dregs of the klast bunch along.
while it wasn't a major coho run there were plenty mixed in.

reports are correct these brutes are strong.
hard to handle on an 8 weight and #12 test.
black and purple buggers were the hot ticket with red comets behind them.
    some came to chartruse streamers.
    some came to double eggs.
none came to the pink bunnys, fished them hard 3 or 4 times without a look.

Seems it crested around 256 at 3am this morning.
We got rain alright but I should have threw the chainsaw in my truck for the ride in this morning. Lots of downed trees making the ride quite an adventure

knots it was during the week but the port ontario lodge had vacencys.
it looked half empty from the number of cars there at 4 am.
don't know the place so this is not a recommendation.
i did consider getting a room durring the drizzle on tues.
but found out i still love camping, even alone and in a downpour.
