Saw alot of nice looking silver fish tonight when I went along with alot of smaller ones.   If I could  have landed one I would have kept it.  Fish are stacked  in holes and have lock jaw.

    that is a bioch.
i finealy get to go and they hit lockjaw stage.
few things as frustrating as that.
gar un tea i'll stay strong.
rather fish two days without a hook up, but that has created generations of sight fishers.

Clint stay away from the holes... its just a tease fish the transitional waters and pockets above them...not directly above though as they move quickly when they brake out pf a pool. As they get a ways out of a poil they will look to rest every 50-100 feet in the broken choppy current brakes...prime time for aggression
Try to fish the seems and pockets in which you cant see them, as they will be there

DB, I know it's a tease, but I can't not throw to them a few times.   My biggest issue is that where I want to fish after work is too far of a walk to make it back to the car before dark.  So I am stuck leaving right as the fish are starting to move.   Going to try a new spot on Thursday to get out of this rut

Clint try a hand grenade in those pools,my uncle had great sucess during WW2 while in Germany with that method.

Or try this...tie on a sparsly tied olive wooly bugger, use 6# floracarbon tippet and NO weight, cast up and across,on the drift twitch the line :)

If you try the fashionable and very popular Grenade method -specially in the lower river and Ballpark area-please remember you are legally required to gut and drag out EVERYTHING you kill.
One may find this legislation under the Combat Fishing portion of the regulations.
