anyone else?

i have two questions and i will post them both here to keep my footprint small.

first one is is anybody else having trouble getting pics from their computer file to upload into photobucket?
if so have you figured it out?second is anyone else wondering if this run of salmon may have zero effect on hatchery take?
if as it seems from pics and first person reports these fish have their adipose intact.

are they going to go back to the gravel in the ufz where they were most likely hatched leaving beaver dam brook to wait for the return of hatchery born fish?
if so wouldn't that still leave a case where if the water is still low and they run columbus day timeframe maximum carnage would occur leaving the hatchery sol?
when did they run in 07?
i don't believe there was no huge early run of natural spawned fish that year.

there is alot of natural production these days
funny they used to say it couldn't happen
now they say it may be 40-60% of the fish :)
not sure i understand your question about going to gravel in the ufz
the natural production happens all the way up and down the river
i saw a female clearing a redd this weekend....and in october they will be anyplace there is gravel
but the hatchery is loaded and beaver brook is starting to look like a california highway
    love them sharks :)

there will be fish columbus day week end, but there will be a TON of fishermen

One thing that always bothered me about natural Repro in Sr was the ever changing water levels leaving some gravel beds high and dry on occasion. At least with the current levels any beds that are used will likely have low mortality as they will stay wet no matter what.

i didn't knowthat many were at the hatchery.
    my trip starts tomorrow.

now if they can just survive the broken elevater we're in bidness
    [:D
just silly noob thing i guess but i figured any fish visably spawning in the anything goes zone (here to with know as the agz) would be dragged behing a suv to a fillet station.
that natural fish tend to spawn very close to where they were spawned themselves so wouldn't go to the hathery.
maybe mff is right and the adipose is growing back
that there is gravel in the ufz and other than those killed by the classy fly guys would have a chance to complete their duty in life so that is where they would return.

Been keeping track of these critters for quite some time now. My wife and I noticed a distinct trend between naturals and hatchery fish. In 2009 most of these fish' parents(naturals) also came in pretty heavy at the same time as this year. Alot of hatchery fish came in october back in 2009. Comparing 2011 to 2008 the dates again were matching up within a 36 hr window. So does stocking dates and river born dates affect when they run? I think they do now about 70% of the time. The other 30% is weather related. Still crunching numbers/dates and hatchery/naturals to fine tune any assumptions but I think im getting close to solving the windows of days we need to be on the river.

The hatchery takes them kinda late IMHO for eggs and the naturals may well be finished before  then in the river . This may well leave two distinct ages of fishes about a month apart . Perhaps  a few weeks in age difference produces this early and later run. Body clock- body clock.
