Saturday morning 15th

Well only had two hours two fish as my wife likes to go into the office on saturdays, got in the lot at 5am forgot a flashlight so had to go  in useing my buddys cell for light, it was black this morning. Got to the river and watched salmon go up 2, 3, and 4 at a time, looked like torpedos up thru the shallows. Waited till legal light and started to fish went 2 for 6 and my buddy went 1 for 3 all very dark kings and by 710 they had stopped running just about completely, saw 5 fish in the last hour and was on our way out by 830. Once again not a person around us and watching all the fish go by in the early hours was cool. Ive got to fish three days in a row and Im 7 for 17 with yesterday the best with the fresh hoes. Will be back tomorrow and get to stay a little longer.

I'm no threat, I won't get up there until late October.

I have to ask because it has been so long ago I fished for salmon in the estuary where it is now called the DSR. Is it designated a C&R only area? Not that I care to eat any of the fish but, do fishermen have the option of keeping a few fresh run salmon? btw, anyone here eat these fish running up the salmon to spawn?

dsr is c&r on all trout but you can keep a salmon for the smoker if you would like.
