YOUGH @ JACOBS CREEK

I went to the mouth of Jacobs Creek and the Yough last week with my 5 wt. and used wooly buggers.Did a dead drift then stripped back through the hole.Caught 6 smallies in an hour or so.Had a blast! I just tied up some Clouser minnows and cant wait to go back! Do any of you fisher people fish that area?I was told there is a large hole up river under the RAILROAD BRIDGE,is this true and does it fish well?

have fished there quite a few times. only live a few miles away from that area.  there is a nice area to fish up there, but if i remember right the bottom is soft and deep so you do have to use caution when fishing there. things may have changed since ive been there which was over a year ago. good luck !

I'll be down there tomorrow morning, I'll check it out since I've also been interested in finding out how it how it is under the bridge. So I'll let you know. I've been going down to Smithton a lot lately and have been doing awesome on jerkbaits.

Fished from 7 to 10 on Thursday caught 7 smallies. 3 were around 15 inches. The biggest catch I had though was finding some girls purse with 2 debit cards, 2 school i.ds and 2 driver's licenses and it turned out to be stolen. Weird thing was that it was on the opposite side of the river from the road so it either washed down the river or someone tossed it there.
