Monaca Area

I am planning on fishing an open bass tournament in late Sept on the Ohio in Monaca. I have never fished that area, any tips or suggestions would be great...Thanks in advance.

The pic of the smallie I posted in the other thread was obviously caught on small a chart. Spinnerbait. That was in the Ohio, but not monaca. Right next to structure in heavy current. Not much access to heavy current in a boat though...

fish up the beaver river. right around where they are building new bridge fish shoreline wood. id hit it once with buzz baits then again with spinnerbaits.  also try docks in bridgewater area.  if your boats not too big try up by fallston dam.  stay to right going upriver.  usually around 3' deep but u can get up there.

I would assume that the boundaries include at least the entire Montgomery Pool of the Ohio?

If so and if you have a large enough motor to move fast my picks are...
Below Dashields Dam in Sewickley... cast or troll in the water below and up to the buoys...
    Mouth of big Sewickley creek...
    Beaver River as suggested...
Old molassas tanks near Mouth of Elkhorn run...
Freedom point near the under pass...
every bridge pier or other structure with moving water...
If the water temps have dropped enough late sept can be good. it it stays hot with warm nights expect slow fishin...
