Hi I'm a new guy.

I was shopping for a new fly setup and stumbled across this forum that actually pertains to the Salmon River itself. I'm kinda excited cause of the amount of knowledge that could be shared here, along with the opinions about the DSR, snagging, and heads up on new regs. 
 
So I was just introducing myself as a true local in Pulaski and a 15 year fisherman on the river. 
 
And yes I walked out back behind my house this morning and spotted a few fish in the river. But I've got my daughter and I have to work at 12 today.

    hi i'm new to this site too.
    i met a guy at work that told me about this site and several more.
    wish i lived that close.
    i'm ready to go but he says with the price of gas i should wait 2 or 3 weeks for surer chance fishable numbers.

    welcome aboard the two of you  as for when to come up or down just watch the site these guys or girls are pretty truthful  and you can call brent at the salmon river sports shop just pull up there site  see you all on the river  in 14 days

    I've lived here all my life, except my 4 years in the Navy, and I've been in the Salmon River Sports Shop a few thousand times, especially for Button's flies.
     
    But I went out this morning to the staircase and seen 1 king go flying by towards the ball park and didnt even wanna stop. With the weather being in the mid 80's all week but being cool at night we might get a few coming up early but not anything to be worth running up here for.
