Board seems dead
The board seems dead lately. I always enjoy reading everyones experiences and tips. I wish I could get out more so that maybe I could start contributing some ideas to this board.

Dead indeed... Hoping to hit the water tomorrow at some point so I should have some pics up.
The moment of truth. Where all other things unconsciously melt away from our minds the instant a fish takes our fly. We stand there on the water with wide eyes, caught in a battle stance with an idea of confidence and hope

Finally got the pictures on the computer. Wen to Destin, Florida last week and this was some of my catch. Sorry some of the pictures blow. I did not know the species of the fish I was getting from the surf at night. Reminded me of a freshwater sucker. Our bucket O' fish; mango snapper, lane snapper, squirrel fish, and small king mackerel you can't see. Our beach My first Red Snapper. To bad they were out of season, would have tasted good.
If I agreed with you we’d both be wrong.

Looks like a whiting/kingfish/sea mullet to me. They go by a few different names. Good eating fish, but don't get very big. Looks like you had a good time.

Haven't done a whole lot of serious fishin lately, save for some slow nights flathead fishing. Got a 17" smallie checking out a new to me flathead spot yesterday evening. Only took one lure and rod and got him on the 3rd cast. Missed a couple others, but only caught this 1 fish.

During trout season this board was on fire. Im guessing that during the summer months people are spending more time outdoors doing all the things we talk about on here. During the winter we are mostly just talking about it.

topdog99 been dead fo 2 years now since the "bannings" thought yu knew Used to be a great board. Some people got carried away and thought it was their personal **** board, no respect for others. The site wasn't really policed well, then someone woke up and the mass bannings began. (I was one of those who had taken a long break during that period and I missed it.) Nice board to visit but the comradery of years past is gone.

The site wasn't really policed well, then someone woke up and the mass bannings began. This, as written, I completely agree with. I guess the Fish Erie posters are not allowed to have anything resembling a happy medium. Either there's no moderation at all, or if you say anything that a certain few mods disagree with, your posts get censored into oblivion, threads get deleted, and users get warned and banned. Ridiculous. I know most of the guys who made up the core of regulars are still members, but their posting is maybe 1/4 or less of what it once was.
