Bad News, maybe

I see there's a meeting Monday between Brookfield and DEC about the water issue. Could we see a replay of 2007? When alot of fish made it as far as DSR and you timed your trips with the rain. Not a good scenerio when they are talking that this years fish are bigger. I would say the Labor Day release this year may very be cancelled after Monday. Well if you purchased a DSR season pass you may have made the best move of the season. Know any good raindancers?

Fella said that even with the recent rains the Res. is 11 feet low.--need a gully washer- maybe two -and they aint in the 10 day either.
Might be a late start this season. Have seen them gettin picked off in the Needle some years by now-- not all the time but on occasion. Not a lot in mid to late August either but one or two picked up here and there- nada as yet this year.
We have seen it before when the waters low and warm and the fish stack up outside and wait it out.
Kinda agree with that in and outa DSR sometimes. Have stood there and watched them run in and then go right back down past ya a bit later---specially the hos.
Sooner or later they will run. Its kinda sad though if the waters way too low and they  get picked off like busy tails on a bird feeder.

We need a tropical depression to hit the east coast and come north with a 2-3 day rain event, that's what I'm looking for.

That would do it PA, but I don't think some people would agree with you being they are still cleaning up from last fall. But if one came into the gulf and came ashore right up to us that would benefit alot of people including us. Maybe a few of them for good measure.

This all stems from last winter and the lack of snow on the hill.   Not saying it would make a ton of difference, but how about that 2 to 3 week span in the spring when they ran at 1500 even when the res was at below normal levels.   I know there are no crystal balls, but they can always let water out, but once it's out it's out for good.

Agree on the Winter Clint=we were up with the G Kids X country Skiing near the Res area a few times last Winter- it looked low all Winter into early Spring. Havent been back since then but reports are all  sayin low waters.
      This too will pass-----
