It was worth it.

There's a strectch of bay I've been wanting to fish the last few weeks, but have been avoiding it. It's a LONG way to the water with the yak. 150 yds of parking lot, two flights of steps, then 1000 yds to the water. Not really that far...but it required a good amount of "effort"

Another poster wrote this on a different thread today:

"at least it required effort..."

Effort = Reward right?I got to thinking about that. I have it pretty easy most spots in the bay, I just pull up and fish> Today I was gonna put in some "extra" effort.

I drug my skinny butt down there, kayak in tow...and was rewarded for my effort. I hammered em.....again. The fish acted like they aint never seen a buzzbait before. Man....I love those buzz baits. The WHOOOSH when you cast em, the prop wash it leaves on the water, the way bass EXPLODE on em....I dig the whole process.

Anyway....Effort = Reward...and I got mine today.

Couple pics

Getting this pic alone was worth the drag to me:

I don't always snag fish, but when I do...
I choose Little Cleos

    The water was perfect. Too shallow for jet skis. The fish were hot. Not a dog to be seen. Perfect.

    Nice stuff, Slick.  Really nice hawl.

    That next-to-last pic looks like something out of a Scooby-Doo cartoon.

    Completely awesome.  Last pic is outstanding, and I think we can all relate to the feeling you get when you make the extra effort to get off the beaten path and and all pans out.
