Keystone Power Dam

Anyone been out there lately? Thinking of making a trip up there this weekend, have only fished there once a few years back.

Just wanting to get an idea if weeds are bad, water level etc.

Thanks.

My best friend and I used to fish it pretty hard back when we were kids. We hadn't been there for about 15 years and then last week he asked me if I wanted to go try it out. I couldn't go because I had other plans, so he went without me. He said that he barely marked any fish and all he caught were a few gills, perch, and crappie. None of the fish were big enough to keep. He's not planning on going back any time soon.

Fished the power dam wednesday afternoon 8/8. Water level is down some but not too bad. More than enough water at the Atwood  launch to get a boat in. Got skunked. Fished for about 5 hours and never had a hit. May have done better if i went later in the day. It will be a while before i go back to try again. The only fish i saw the whole afternoon were a few perch and bluegill.

    Thanks for the info.
Still might head up there, always fun to get on some unfamiliar water. Hopefully the fish will cooperate.

Launched from Atwood launch on the 15th.  Fished  3 hours without a bite.   Fished around the submerged island.   Water low but plenty of water to launch boat.
